Job Summary
Senior Superintendent will oversee all functions of the job site. They will manage multiple jobs simultaneously through complex coordination of multiple subordinate Superintendents and crew members. Senior Superintendents are responsible for monitoring work performed and maintaining an open dialog with General Contractor. Senior Superintendents will report directly to project manager.
Responsibilities/ Physical Demands
- Lays out work for subordinate supervisors and is jointly responsible with the Project Manager for having material, tools, equipment, information and appropriate manpower in the proper place in a timely fashion.
- Ability to assist Project Management prepare construction schedules
- Interfaces with representatives of the General Contractor on day-to-day project scheduling and overall performance issues.
- Provides general supervision to subordinate superintendents engaged in the installation of electrical feeders; equipment such as pumps, motors, and generators; control and distribution apparatus such as switch gear, relays, and circuit breaker panels; lighting fixtures and outlets; and related connections and terminations.
- Handles or oversee the disposition of required office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, etc.
- reports of any accident or safety incidents involving jobsite employees.
- Train, manage and evaluate project team members.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs
- Other duties as required
- While performing essential functions of the Senior Superintendent will:
- Bend and twist body
- Repeat same movements
- Stand for long periods of time
- Crouch/ crawl
- Climb ladders, Scaffolds or poles
- Lift up to 50 pounds
Skills
- Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, below freezing, crawl spaces, etc.
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Comfortable making decisions independently and handling emergency situations with a calm and measured manner
Requirements
- Possess valid driver’s License
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle record
- Current Texas State issued Journeyman Electrician’s License
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the commercial field
- Exceptional understanding of the electrical industry
- Knowledge of electrical calculations
