Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary

Human Resources Generalist will provide customer focused HR programs, services, and consultation to enhance individual, team, management, and business performance consistent with Amber Electrical values, policies, and programs. Provides employees and managers a centralized Human Resources service center for first tier questions and inquires spanning benefits programs and human resources policies.


Functions

  • Responsible for making sure all staffing and recruiting needs are met in a timely manner

  • Oversee implementation of Amber Electrical, Inc. programs to comply with various governmental regulations dealing with EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and other related Federal & State laws

  • Ensure consistent policy implementation

  • Maintain E-files for all employees

  • Schedule annual performance review training sessions for employees and managers; monitor attendance; set up live meeting sessions

  • Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding processes 

  • Completes exit interviews 

  • Answers employees’ inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and policies 

  • Handle workers compensation claims

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds


Skills

  • Bilingual

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

  • Proven experience as HR Generalist – PHR certification a plus

  • Cooperative, courteous, flexible, and good natured


  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of skill development and work experience are required.

  • Must be able to maintain a high-level confidentiality; maintain accurate and complete records.

  • Possess Excellent written and oral communication skills including strong proofreading skills and /or presentation.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a background test and drug test
