The role of the Journeyman Service Electrician is to maintain, oversee and work alongside crew of electrical apprentices and installers. A Journeyman will work under the guidance of a Project Manager and contribute to several job specific activities including employee training: installations, alternations, and repair of electrical systems.
Functions
Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility
Participate in weekly safety meetings
Enters employee’s weekly time into Foundation Mobile on a timely manner
Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation
Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
While performing essential functions of this job service Journeyman electrician will:
Bend and twist body

Climb ladders, Scaffolds or poles
Lift up to 50 pounds
Skills
Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g., hot sun, below freezing, crawl spaces, etc.

Comfortable making decisions independently and handling emergency situations with a calm and measured manner
Requirements
Possess valid driver’s License
Must be able to successfully pass a background test and drug test
Acceptable Motor Vehicle record
Current State Issued Journeyman Electrician’s License
Must be able to pass drug and background check
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the commercial field
